JAKARTA, Indonesia — Nissan on Tuesday unveiled the 2014 Datsun Go+, the second model in the revived brand's lineup.
The under-$8,800 2014 Datsun Go+ is an MPV aimed at buyers in Indonesia. The 2014 Datsun Goand the Go+ will be sold here starting in 2014.
"We're expecting a strong demand for this product," said Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn in a statement.
The Go+ is a 5+2 seater with a 1.2-liter engine and a manual transmission. No other specifications were provided at this point. The Go+ will be built at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, Indonesia.
Datsun is the company's third brand, along with Nissan and Infiniti. There are no plans to use the revived Datsun brand in North America. The Datsun brand will be sold in Indonesia, India, Russia and South Africa.
Nissan previously used the Datsun name from the early 1930s to the mid-'80s, when it was phased out in favor of the corporate brand name.
